Sustainability, lately the word seems used in every possible context, and that’s a good thing! It’s stimulating a dialog, raising questions like…
“What is sustainable in my life?”
“What can I do to become more sustainable?”
“What would it feel like to live a life of sustainability?”
Over the past 40 years humanity has collectively shifted in its perception of personal and public responsibility. This re-thinking has brought changes in how we chose to live our lives. The result is an increased awareness of how our actions and choices directly effect the quality of our individual and collective life experience.
Sustainability is the next upgrade in human awareness, a growing understanding of the circulation of energy, how it can be cultivated and increased as a sustaining force in our lives for the benefit of ourselves and others.
Sustainability is not rocket science. Sustainability requires self observation and the choice to come into responsible balance as an individual with one’s environment. And there are perks….When one is on-point in the practice of sustainability, it feels as if one’s life force is increased and the perception of personal aliveness enhanced. Bottom line, it feels good to take responsibility, to make simple shifts in the way we do things and to experience the positive effect sustainable choices make on the world around us.
The School of Sustainability educational model is to demonstrates how a state of personal sustainability is attainable through understanding and practice.
